After you remove the drivers try a refresh in the CMC on that server
(refresh printer and driver info after a right click) this does not always
work (again its iffy). Next it's a restart of the IMA service to see if that
does it.

That will remove the drivers from the server, how do I remove them from
the datastore? I realize they are not authoritative but I would like to
remove them, then get rid of all the drivers so I am starting with a
"clean" print setup and then add the drivers that we need.

OK, then you have an issue, the list you see in the CMC is not really
authoritative, meaning you remove a driver from that list (from the
Datastore) it does not remove it from the Server.

The list there is a list from the driver list on the member metaframe
server. You can use a simple CMD script on the MF servers to delete
drivers using Rundll32.

Try this from run
rundll32 printui.dll,PrintUIEntry /?

There are options to remove the drivers. You may want to generate a text
file with all the drivers in the ntprint.inf or all the driver names you
see in your farm. From that list run the command to remove that driver.

Yes. I'll give you a little background and then you can possibly direct
me to an alternate solution as well. We are having issues with printing
and citrix, I have imported print servers and set the replication to go
to all servers. Out users access all servers for all programs, no silos
therefore all drivers should be available on all servers. What we see
is that server1 will have 32 drivers, server 14 has 37 drivers, others
have different drivers. We ran into some issues with our print server
and migrated to a different one, now what I want to do is to basically
remove all drivers from the list that is maintained in Metaframe.

Then I can either manually add the drivers from the print server or be
brave and try importing the new print server. If I am going about this
in the wrong way I am open to suggestions.

Well, mine clears out the printers mappings list. Are you looking to
clear out the print driver list that shows up for a server?

I was asking about this some time ago and Ron Oglesby has written a
script which can do this.

Try the link below or if it doesn't work it's located on Brian Maddens
website.
