License service must now be installed on a DC. AD domain the service is
on a DC to help enable the server to locate DCs within their site for
licensing.

Subject: [THIN] Post Domain Conversion Licensing Issue

Here's the situation:

I had Windows 2000 Terminal Server setup under a Windows NT 4.0 Domain.
=3D
We converted our domain to Windows 2000 Active Directory (which included
=3D
a different domain name). Now my TS is not licensed. When I go into =
=3D
license manager, it searches for the license server (which used to be =
=3D
itself), and it now searches the domain controller. It eventually comes
=3D
back and says "no licensing server is available in the current domain or
=3D
workgroup, bla, bla, bla." If I try connecting manually (to itself) it =
=3D
says "Windows cannot connect to a licensing server".

Aaaargh, help?
