Same here. Cisco switches don't autonegotiate properly with anything. If =
you
don't preset the speed and duplex settings your bandwidth will be =
savaged.

        I found that at least on our Cisco switches, the Auto sucks. It
tends
        to connect at 1/2 Duplex some of the time. Even if I have the
servers
        hard coded to 100/Full, the Cisco will pick up at 100/Half. Hard
        code both servers and switches to 100/Full

        It was suggested to me that I should set the port speeds on all
my switches and NIC's to the same speed/duplexing and not use Auto for
any configuration.  I am running a 100 MB network and in one location
have a 1GB
back plane where my Citrix servers plug into.   What settings should
work
best (half / Full) and should I hard code each Network device off the
Auto setting?
