Well I agree with setting switch and NICs to hardcoded 100/full. 
My issue (currently, or one of the many) is how most of the Gig E nics do
not have a 1000/Full settings for hardcoding. You have to set it at the port
and leave AUTO on the card. This was a problem for me last year with some
broadcoms to the point that I replaced the drivers 3 times trying to get it
to REALLY go to 1 gig.

Hi THIN LIST:
        
        It was suggested to me that I should set the port speeds on all my
switches and NIC's to the same speed/duplexing and not use Auto for any
configuration.  I am running a 100 MB network and in one location have a 1GB
back plane where my Citrix servers plug into.   What settings should work
best (half / Full) and should I hard code each Network device off the Auto
setting?
