Doug,
You can replace that number with anything you desire, even your zipcode....
Just pump the correct pn.ini and appsrv.ini and everything works fine...
The nemuber in the pn.ini relate to the VL and IDX files created in the app
dir off the lcient, they don't need to be copied or created on forehand,
thay are created dynamically.

I want to replace the pn.ini file for users that are migrating to a new
farm.
I see that the reference in pn.ini looks like this
[Program Neighborhood]
Msrm=d5i6xy33
From the article ctx145271 it sounds like the number on the end is used to
reference user specific, local files like d5i6xy33.idx and vl.
So does that mean I can't replace pn.ini with a new one that contains the
information for our new farm?
If I put a pn.ini in the users profile with
[Program neighborhood]
Newfarm=k4l23i84j (what ever is generated when I manually add it via pn)
What will happen?
