Thanks for all of the info.. Did you have to install any additional languages or is this configurable through the default installation of Windows? -adamadz -----Original Message----- From: thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Jim Hathaway Sent: Thursday, May 15, 2003 11:50 AM To: thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [THIN] Re: Parlez-vous Francais? Need help with some multilanguage apps Adamadz,=20 As far as user side settings go, you can force a users language within their terminal session through the registry. The area is: HKCU\Control Panel\International Basicaly you need to go through and setup an account on your with the proper language settings, then (with the profile still logged in) go into the registry as an admin user, and export all the settings out for the above mentioned Key in the setup users' registry.=20 You should be able to import these settings to other users on login. There are many ways of doing this, Kix, VB, and regini to name a few.=20 For my case, I have a client who has a branch office in the south of France. We put an emtpy file called (fra.txt) in the home directory of the users from france, when users login, the login script checks for the existance of that file, and imports the reg keys needed for the language in their session. We didn't do any other font or application changes, and we haven't had any problems.=20 Citrix does have a french version of Nfuse available. You should find it here. http://www.citrix.com/site/SS/downloads/details.asp?dID=3D4468&downloadI D= =3D 4469 I can't say I've worked with it, or installed it before. But it shouldn't be too hard to setup a secondary site on your existing Nfuse box with the french language version. If you're wanting your users to go to a single web location and then choose their language version, you'll have to create your own *.html, *.htm, or *.asp page to give them the options and then re-direct them to the proper language nfuse site.=20 Good luck.=20 J -----Original Message----- From: adamadz [mailto:adz@xxxxxxxxxxx]=20 Sent: Wednesday May 14, 2003 9:29 PM To: thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [THIN] Parlez-vous Francais? Need help with some multilanguage apps We're in the process of taking over our sister company's infrastructure in Canada. One of our in-house applications is getting a major facelift to allow for our Canadian users to choose between English and French, so to go along with this, I need to know what changes I will have to make to our Citrix environment to allow for the fonts to be displayed, etc. The app is browser based, so will I need to install another browser version? Or the multilanguage pack for Windows? We also need to give users a choice at the Nfuse screen for their login preference and obtain a french version of the Nfuse login/program neighborhood.. I'm pretty much in the dark here and just looking for some suggestions as to where I could find out more information. Any help would be greatly appreciated. =20 Thanks. -adamadz ******************************************************** This Week's Sponsor - Emergent Online EOL's Universal Printer new Features include: Network Printing, Pagestreaming, 2400 DPI.
