[THIN] PVS master target device and XenAppPrep

Hello,
We are testing Citrix Provisioning Services with XenServer(v5.5) and
XenApp (5.0/Win2008).
Question 1:
What happens with master target device (in this case a XenApp server) when
using XenAppPrep as last step before converting target device to vdisk?
Will target device still be usable as normal?
Question 2:
Is PVS/Xenserver/Xenapp a good choice in a real production environment? I
suspect latency/slow performance could be an issue.
