This is different than I run it but I can see where you're coming from. launching it from a cmd file or something will definitely work for you. Would checking the existence of a file on a network share or something work for you? If the share is there ten they are connected to you and the pnagent should work too. you could have something like (yes, i realize the syntax is not correct, let's call it psuedocode anmd go from there) if exist \\server\files\connected.txt start pangent.exe else exit that might be easier to script than a ping.
