Thanks for replying Rick.
I found out that PDF995 only works for regular users when an Admin is logged
in at the console (same as Acrobat 5.0). An admin can always use PDF995
(even if no one else is at the console).
I know PDF995 is not supposed to behave this way. These are some
confilcts/problems that I may have:

1) Acrobat 5.0 (including Distiller) is installed on the server
2) The server is not connected to the Internet and therefore cannot display
the add pages from the Free PDF995. I do plan to buy the product to get rid
of the adds, but right now I'm just testing.

When an admin creates PDF's from PDF995, an IE page displays trying to
access the Internet.
When a regular user attempts that, IE (the adds) does not display.

In the pdf995.ini, should there be a line "TS Enable=1" ?
I don't have that line.

Hector.

Hi Hector,

PDF995 uses a standard PS printer driver which then invokes ghostscript
to do a PS to PDF conversion. The postscript file end up in c:\pdf995
before being converted. And yes, users do need full write access to the
pdf995 directory.

Other than that, it ought to work :-(

Rick

Subject: [THIN] PDF995 on Terminal Server

Hi all, I was wondering if there are any special instructions for
installing PDF995 on a Windows 2000 Terminal Server. I've read the FAQ's
on pdf995.com, but somehow regular users get 0 byte PDFs. I've opened up
permissions on the C:\pdf995 folder.

Any help is appreciated.
