Are these autocreated printers? (or mapped back to the client machine) Or
are these network printers?

To delete all autocreated printers, you can run

Chgcdm /delete_client_printers

From the command line.

I did the following:

Problem: Server had a few printers which could not be deleted. <access
denied>

My Solution: I set the IMA service to "disabled", let the server reboot
and again tried to delete all printers from the GUI...a few deleted but
the others remained with <access denied> Long story short...what
finally worked was a registry search. My user's printers are all
XXXX-LEX-XX so I did a registry search for "-lex-". I located a few
keys that contained the values for my leftover printers...after deleting
these keys I could delete the printer. <Insert normal warning to backup
your registry here>

Subject: [THIN] Orphaned Printers

I have a number of orphaned printers in user sessions, left over from
moving the printers to new servers. Users are unable to delete the old
printers and it is causing confusion, they get an access denied but I
can't find where to tweak the permissions. Can someone point me in the
right direction please.
