I stayed at the All Star Music Resort last year... it only cost me
$62/night. Its a mile or two down the road, but that didn't cause me
any problems...

Boardwalk, Yacht Club, and Beach Club are three great Disney properties
located very close to Swan and Dolphin and are also considered Epcot
properties. Boardwalk is the nicest and is where I stay my family came
to iForum with me. You can walk to iForum (or take the boat) from any
of those three.

If your kids are not teenagers yet, the Disney Institute has the Swiss
Family Robinson tree houses you can stay in. They are kitchettes and
are a lot of fun. They may be a little far from iForum for you though.

Spending the extra $ for the Disney hotel is worth it. It will give
your family better access to transportation to get to and from the park
and anything they buy at any Disney location (parks, Downtown Disney
etc) can be delivered right to their room so they don't have to worry
about carrying around a bunch of crap while they are out. I think it
will also get them in the parks earlier on certain days, I forget
exactly. I will email my wife, she will know. She used to work there.

Sorry for the off-topic email but I was wondering if anyone can
offer some recommendations for family-oriented hotels near the iForum
conference in Orlando. Hotels to avoid are just as useful as
recommendations. Wife and kids will be doing the multi-park thing while
I soak up the info in the technical sessions....

        Thanks!!
