[THIN] Re: OT: win 2k login script

Ahhh well I meant that it uses a subst command. I guess I can try and login
to DC and see if it even runs it. I will try that.

Michael,

"The script is for loging into citrix server, so it only happens here."

Um ok, but you stated this however in a previous e-mail. "The script is
called form the user manager under the profile tab, in the login script
field."

If your second comment is the case, then you are assigning the script to
a user. Since the only way you can easily assign a script to a server
only is through scripting or through a group policy. There's something
else going on here that you're not telling us.=20

How are you assigning the script to only run on the TS server?

J

No. no event ID errors. =20

Win2k

Native

Single site with one domain controller

The script is for loging into citrix server, so it only happens here.

Michael,

Do you see any event ID errors within the system or App log on the
server after a successful login where the script doesn't run?=3D20

What OS is the TS server in question? Win2k or TSE?

Is your AD domain in mixed mode or Native?

Do you have multiple sites w/ DC's in multiple locations?

Are you seeing this problem only on a single machine, or do you not see
the login script run when logging into any domain based machine
(workstation or server)?

I added a pause to the script but its not running at all. I can go to
the command prompt once logged in and run it with no problems.

I wonder if the script is running, but the user doesn't have rights to
run subst. Try mapping a drive.

Yes I see the admin.cmd file there. No I haven't enabled any of that in
the policies yet. it does a simple drive subst command and that isn't
being done so I know its not running.

What appears when you type in \\dc_server_name\Netlogon? Do you see the
=3D3D =3D3D3D script there? Are you sure you don't have a GPO that =

legacy =3D3D =3D3D3D logon scripts during their execution?
