Novell products are great, but useless due to their inability to seamlessly
(and reliably) integrate into a microsoft world. They will stick around a
while since they are sitting on a a huge cash pile, but they will never be
the player they once were.

Dennis,

I think that's the new unified name for all the Zenworks/OnDemand stuff. I
know that the novell's Ondemand incorporated what was a product called
Dframe - which allowed you to manage thin client based published
applications from within your NDS.

Now, I've seen the OnDemand thin client integration and it's a bit neat.
Essentially, you can integrate your standard thick-client apps that you
would role out through Zen with thin client apps.

The user is presented with a single interface, and depending on their
device/location or whatever they can have either published apps, or a mix or
full apps. That interface could be a standard NAL window; or could be a
web/portal interface.

The ondemand stuff creates published applications independent of the citrix
environment; it
can also do application load balancing. It can either use RDP or ICA.

Can't do file redirection tho' and obviously requires an investment in NDS.
That said some of the billing and user self-assignment features are very
neat and way above whats available within PN.

Hth.

Anybody out there using Novell Synergy in conjunction with your Citrix
environment? Are there any independent reviews of the product that someone
can point me to? All I can seem to find comes directly from Novell and
information about a product only from the company, of course, isn't always
the best information.

Thanks in advance!
Dennis
