when was auto installations mentioned? i remember auto start, but not install.

Just double click it and on the General tab, about half way down, is the
startup type.  Change it to automatic right there.  Also take a look at
the Recovery tab, this gives you the option to restart the service if it
fails.

i'm going to assume that this is a "service" that is not listed with all

the services?

If not, write a batch file to run at startup that starts the service or
runs the exe, whatever the case may be.
