If you have a Windows 2003 SP1 server and want the R2 features is it just a matter of popping in the CD2 from R2 and installing that CD? Does Microsoft frown on this because of licensing? On top of a Windows 2003 SP1 2. On top of Disk1 of Windows 2003 R2. Now...disk 1 of Windows 2003 R2 is simply Windows 2003 SP1 with a couple of slight cosmetic changes, which is why you may see some minor differences like this. I don't know this for sure, but this is my understanding. Cheers. This is not critical or important, but that bugs me a little bitâ I have windows 2003 R2 deployed in my office. When I do ctrl-alt-delete, it shows Windows 2003 R2 If I do winver, it shows windows 2003 r2 sp1 Installed in March if I remember correctly. I have a customer who installed windows 2003 R2 from one of his select CDâ When he does ctrl-alt-delete, it show Windows 2003 In Winver it shows Windows 2003 SP1 But he has the features of R2â anyone having that âissue/featureâ ??? Cd date is June 2006 Thanks ____________________________________________ Marc-Andrà Lapierre, MALICIS Informatique Inc.
