Is there any way I could take a look at your script?
Thanks

Thanks, I did a combo of 1 and 2 (run nltest and then wait 15 seconds),
and it has now worked correctly for 4 users created simultaneously.

I have run into this issue as well (where the PDC didn't replicate fast
enough)=20 But I was in a pure NT4 domain with no Win2k. There are 2 or
3 ways that you can fix this
1.Put a wait or sleep command in your script (I would try 15
seconds) then run the cacls command
        2. you would need a util from the reskit that does the PDC synch
(like nltest)

        3. Wait until the user logs in to set permissions on it using
the RunAs option and set permissions then

Sorry, I had specifically meant to specify and forgot. It's an NT4
domain, and the script is currently being run from a 2k box in that
domain. I can't easily run the script from the PDC because it uses some
ADSI hooks that NT4 doesn't have.

Is this a AD domain?

Also you can try running the script from the PDC (or PDC emulator) and
that will resolve your issue as well

Subject: [THIN] OT: Scripting Domain Replication

I'm trying to fix a user creation script. It creates the user and adds
them to the correct groups just fine, but it's having difficulty with
the home directories.

When the home directory is created, it then runs cacls to set the
correct permissions on it, but the perms that should give the user full
control give "Unknown User" full control. I'm guessing that the domain
is not replicating to the server in time.

Is there a way to script domain replication using vbscript or does
anyone know what is causing this?

Thanks,

Bill
