To move the licensing server: 1) Call Microsoft Clearinghouse. 2) Tell them how many licenses you have installed. 3) Enter in the license pack that they give you back. Its so idiotic, it would make me laugh were it not a constant sort of worry to me - there is no way to have any sort of redundancy or failover, and hence no easy way to move it to a new server. -----Original Message----- From: Michael Boggan [mailto:MBoggan@xxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Friday, January 09, 2004 5:26 PM To: 'thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx' Subject: [THIN] OT: Rebuilding 2k domain controller I have a new domain with 1 DC on it. It has been giving us problems with locking up everynight and having to be rebooted in the morning. I am going to rebuild it so I have built a 2nd DC on that domain. Don't I have to move the TS licensing info from that server, and if so, how can i do that? is there anything else that needs to be done before i can rebuilt that thing?
