[THIN] OT: RAID Card

Hii friends!!

A quick question..

On a server (RAID1,mirroring), if RAID card fails, when i replace it,can save 
the HDD data?
or is it mandatory to blank them,and how do i restore the HDD? any idea like 
ghost etc..
