I don't see why there would be any security risk for it, unless there's a vulnerability for your particular version of Notes Pop3. I don't use Notes... mainly because I don't like anything about it... but I don't see any problem with pop3 access. Just make sure they save a copy of messages on the server, otherwise they'll come into work and freak out. -----Original Message----- From: Jonathan Kadoo [mailto:jkadoo@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Monday, July 28, 2003 1:46 PM To: THIN@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [THIN] OT: Pop3 Access Sorry for the off topic but I am not getting any good answers on my other mailing lists. We have a internal Lotus Notes mail server. I have a few users that want me to open up POP3 access to it. My question is what are my security risks in doing this? How are others handling this situation? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Jonathan
