I could do that, but I thought that was very messy.
I'm surprised Microsoft have not built this into Outlook/Exchange. Often
companies merge and being able to select a different email address
within Outlook would be nice. Maybe Exchange 2010.

How about just adding an additional account to outlook and choose that
one to send it from?
