Hi,

Outlook 2k puts attachments into %userprofile%\local settings\temporary
internet files. If you have a policy removing temporary internet files from
roaming profiles. Then this directory won't exit on login until after IE has
been run.

Add a line to usrlogon.cmd:

If not exist "%userprofile%\local settings\temporary internet files" md
"%userprofile%\local settings\temporary internet files"

Incidentally the secure attachments directory location is defined under
HKCU\software\microsoft\office\9.0\outlook\security.

Regards,

Rick

Subject: [THIN] OT: Outlook can't open attachments

I have some users on a server that are trying to open attachments in outlook
2000 on a XP server and they get the following error.

"Can't create file. whatever.doc Right click the folder you want to create
the file in, and then click properties on the shortcut menu to check your
permissions for the folder."

Anyone have any idea what this is telling me?

Thannks,
