[THIN] Re: OT: OWA question

Exactly, What I wanted was to be able to do "File, Open Other User's
Folder".
I just want to check another user's calendar, provided permissions are
allowed.

I suppose this is not possible from OWA 2003.

I'm assuming the original question was in regards to the ability to use
a feature like "File, Open Other User's Folder". I've never seen an
option like this. The suggestion below is going to try and open the
entire box. This will work but you need to give Reviewer access to the
root of that entire box, and then access to the specific sub folders.
If you only give access to the subfolders, you can't get into the box
itself

If you give reviewer to the root and then the specific subfolders, you
should be able to use the below URL and your OWN credentials to see
those folders.

You should be able to go to your browser and enter the other persons
alias as a parameter to your link (ie.
http://server/exchange/otherpersonsalias

From there if you are asked for credentials, enter in your credentials.
If you have read access to that persons exchange mailbox, you will be
able to view their mail account via OWA.

Paul

What password would you enter?
With Outlook, you are able to open someone else's Calendar to check
their schedules before setting up a meeting.
I was hoping OWA 2003 would have something similar. Sure, you can check
availability from the appointment menu.

Sure easy. Change the alias at the end of the URL:

http://owaboxname/esullivan <http://owaboxname/esullivan>

to

http://owaboxname/aliasoftheotheruser
<http://owaboxname/aliasoftheotheruser>

So long as permissions have been set up (or you are an administrator) it
will work fine.

Hi all, is there a way to open another user's calendar or mailbox from
OWA
2003 or 2000?

I am using OWA 2003 and I can't find a way. I figured someone in this
list
should know.
