I don't believe so. If AUTHENTICATION is not in the properties of the
POP3 protocol on the server, then no.

Yes. If you are running Exchange 2000, you would need to open the
System Manager, navigate to your server hosting the POP3 service, then
edit the properties of the virtual server. Click on the ACCESS tab, and
click on Authentication. From there, you can specify the default domain
name.

But, why do you want to allow users to get their email via POP3?

Chris

In IIS, there is a place for the default domain, you go to
Exchange/Properties/Directory Security/ ...I think the Anonymous Access
area, there is an Edit button and if you click that, you will have an
option that will show a place to specify a default domain... Chad

Right now when a user tries to login to OWA they have to put in
"domain\userid" and a password. Is there a way to set it up so that all
they have to do is put in a userid, without the "domain\" ?
