Yikes, one heck of an upgrade.

I refuse to even upgrade NT 4 to WIN2K, let alone 2K3.

Good luck!

I am testing and coming up with procedures to do an in-place upgrade from
NT4.0 SP6a to Windows 2003 in our environment. When I insert the Win2003
CD, and try to do the upgrade, I immediately get the following messages:

============

Error reading information from netmap.inf
from OEM directories pre-set by the administrator.

If you choose to ignore this error,
one or more components in your system may not get upgraded correctly.

Do you want to cancel this upgrade? Yes/No

=============

If I answer No to canceling the upgrade, I get this message:

=============

Error initializing OEM files.

Setup cannot continue.

The option to upgrade will not be available at this time.

An unknown system error (code 0xe0000100) has occurred.

==============

Setup then continues and only gives me the ability to do a new installation.
Does anyone have any ideas what I'm not doing?? The hardware is HP/Compaq
Proliant DL380G3.

TIA!
