It might be worth checking out the ThinStation project on Sourceforge - I'm looking at it now as a posibility to sell to my manager :) If you know your way around Linux, it might be worth toying with the Knoppix CD, and using the article in Linux-Magazine from April 2004 http://www.linux-magazine.com/issue/41/DYI_Knoppix.pdf about modifying a Knoppix disto to include or remove any software you no longer require... We have DOS clients now,but need more functionality such as scroll mice and possibly wireless. Thanks,Joane I see an excellent opportunity to sneak Linux into my workplace. -----Original Message----- From: Diego Torres Milano [mailto:diego@xxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Friday, October 22, 2004 6:06 PM To: thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [THIN] Re: OT: Linux > > I'm not using a window maker. You didn't specify what desktop environment you are using, so I will assume that it is GNOME and you re logged in (if this is not the case just let me know). Go to: 1) RedHat main menu (redhat logo) -> Preferences -> More Preferences -> Sessions 2) Sessions -> Startup Programs -> Add -> /usr/lib/ICAClient/wfcmgr -icaroot /usr/lib/ICAClient -> Close 3) RedHat main menu (redhat logo) -> Log Out -> Save current setup -> Log out -> OK if everything went well you will see wfcmgr window in you next login. If you are only running RedHat to run the Citrix ICA client you can test PXES Universal Linux Thin Client (http://pxes.sf.net). You can see a running session of PXES here: http://pxes.sourceforge.net/pxes-0.9-movie.html -- Diego Torres Milano <diego@xxxxxxxxxx> IN3 ******************************************************** This Weeks Sponsor RTO Software Do you know which applications are abusing your CPU and memory?
