We used to use Raritan with good results, and we have a few Compaq units,
but recently we've been buying the Avocent digital KVMs that use cat-5
betweek the switch and a KVM dongle at the server end. MUCH nicer to wire
because cat-5 is so much thinner and more flexible than the usual KVM cable.
Also, in addition to the standard in-rack console, you can hook them up to
your network and access them remotely. It's nice to be able to install
software on the Metaframe boxes at the console, but not have to leave my
desk. ;)

I don't work for Avocent, I just like their stuff.
