Subject: [THIN] OT: IE on XP - Buggy

Hi All,

I've been using Windows 2000 on my personal desktop and laptop because
I've found it to be much more stable than XP, particularly with respect
to Internet Explorer. I recently rebuilt my desktop using XP Pro (to
give it another try), and IE just seems to suck. For example, every time
I go to CNN.com, I get numerous errors of this type:

A runtime error has occurred.
Do you wish to debug?

Line: 23
Error: Object expected

Eventually, the page comes up, but every single link at CNN gives me
the error.
Also, when I go to save a file from IE, and, for example, click the
down arrow for the Save In list, it takes *15 seconds* to give me the
list of drives. I've got a home drive mapped to a Win2K server, and one
other mapping to another share on the same server. Other than that, it's
just local drives.
Furthermore, IE seems to crash and want to send M$ an error report at
least once per day. I never experienced any of this on this machine when
it was Win2K Pro (only days ago). Does anyone else experience any of
this, and what is the general consensus about XP Pro's stability? BTW,
it's fully patched.

Thanks,

Jeff Durbin
