SMTP AUTHENTICATION is for *sending* mail; doesn't have anything to do with
*retreiving* mail. Are you sure you understood the changes your ISP
implemented? Perhaps there were others for receiving mail.

Subject: [THIN] OT - Goldmine email

        Hello,=20

A bit off topic, but maybe someone out there has experienced a problem
similar to ours.=20

Our ISP changed their mail server to have SMTP authorization, since then
our email client hangs 10 - 15 minutes before being able to retrieve the
mail stored on their server. Outlook users experience a similar problem
when checking their email.

Thanks
LP
