Make sure that DNS is working properly, and that you can run a NETDIAG successfully from the machine, and then a DCDIAG from the domain controller. Chris - -----Original Message----- From: thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Michael Boggan Sent: Monday, January 12, 2004 1:01 PM To: 'thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx' Subject: [THIN] OT: Exchange 2k install prob I am trying to install a new exchange 2000 server for a client, and when trying to select typical install I get the following message. Multiple components cannot be assigned the requested action(s) because: - - Setup is unable to access the Windows 2000 Active Directory - - Failed to look up the Windows 2000 site to which this computer belongs. Please verify that your computer is configured with correct site information and is in a Windows 2000 domain where the domain controller is reachable. The server is logged into the domain as the administrator and I was able to add the machine to the domain, so I assume the DC is reachable. Anyone seen this before? Am I leaving something out or just forgetting something? Thanks, _________________________________ Michael Boggan Network Engineer/Citrix Admin Virtual Desktop Inc.
