The first time you responded, you said you got nothing, or error
messages (can't list domain messages)???

How do requests in one of your zones, manage if the record is in another
domain?

How does one particular zone, know about the other?

Then if you actually want to interact with the *server*, as opposed to
the DNS database / zone structure - use the dnscmd utility.

Bearing in mind, DNS is a hierarchical database - if you want to
interact with the database - you accept that. If you want to query
*purely* the server and what it does, then you'll have to purely query
that server.

For example - dnscmd <servername> /enumzones - will tell you all about
the zones that purely that server deals with.
