Change the value in Word by going to Tools->Options and then the File
Locations tab while in install mode. I think the setting is called
"user templates". You can blow away the profiles on the box (if you
don't already, on logout) so users get the new setting on next logon.

If you don't want to delete user profiles, trap the registry location by
running Regmon when you make the change, then export the key and push
the value out by calling a reg file during logon, or something like
that.

        Subject: [THIN] Normal.dot location

Currently when I close word or outlook (Office XP, Win2K, SP4,
FR3, SP3,) I get a message "Changes have been made that affect the
global template, normal. Do you want to save those changes?" It appears
that everyone is sharing the same normal.dot template. Shouldn't I spit
this out so that everyone uses there own normal.dot template? If so how?

        Thanks for any suggestions.
