Try doing a CTRL F1 when the session is hung. Does the Security menu
come up? I've seen explorer.exe not launch a few times recently, I
think it is a result of an MS hotfix. I have not disabled run from the
security menu, thus if I select run and type in explorer.exe, the
desktop then launches.

know, in most cases, CPU Utilization IS NOT the single biggest
constraint to scaling up?! Get this free white paper to understand the
real constraints & how to overcome them. SAVE MONEY by scaling-up rather
than buying more servers.
