Erik,

We've noticed the same thing in our farm (XPe/SP1 on Terminal Server with
Data Store on SQL.) It hasn't happened for a long time because the Data
Store has been stable, but its very disconcerting not being sure if this is
going to work when the DS fails.

Subject: [THIN] No connections when DS down

Hi,

Something I don't get: when the Data Store is down, no client seems to
be able to connect to a Citrix server. I thought that the grace period
for datastore non-availability made sure that people could still connect
to a Citrix server, while the DS was being 'troubleshooted'. Am I right
on this? I checked that the Data Collector was running (it runs on a
different machine than the datastore) so IMHO technically clients should
be able to connect??

Erik

What's keeping you from getting more from your terminal servers? Did you
know, in most cases, CPU Utilization IS NOT the single biggest constraint to
scaling up?! Get this free white paper to understand the real constraints &
how to overcome them. SAVE MONEY by scaling-up rather than buying more
servers.
