OK. It's just me. Although I tried it twice. Fortunately, Bern was kind
enough to send me my own personal copy.

Uh... Something's broken there Brian. After entering all that personal info
to RTO to get the paper - a broken link! You might want to yell at them
about that (and let us know when it's fixed).

I'm sure it's an excellent paper and can't wait.

Subject: [THIN] New Citrix / TS Performance Tuning White Paper

Hi all,

Hopefully you guys won't view this as spam, but I'd like everyone to know
that I just finished writing a 38-page white paper about how to troubleshoot
performance issues on Citrix MetaFrame or Microsoft Terminal Servers.

Basically, I was fed up with all the performance tricks that I could find on
the Internet, since most of them were nothing more than big lists of
registry hacks. As a consultant, companies often asked me to come in and
troubleshoot the performance of their Citrix servers. Therefore, I took
everything I know and wrote down the step-by-step approach that I take to
find and fix performance issues. (This paper is 38 pages, twice as long as I
thought it would be. :-)

Anyway, this paper covers how to troubleshoot slow logons, random server
hangs and pauses, overall sluggishness, and how to get more users on your
server.

RTO Software sponsored the paper. However, they had nothing to do with the
content and it's not a paper about using their software. (In fact, I only
talk about RTO for about one-half of one page out of 38 total.) This paper
is 100% geared towards the steps that you need to take when someone says to
you "We have a performance problem."

Visit http://www.brianmadden.com/papers to get the download link for the
paper. It's being hosted on RTO's site, and you'll have to input your
contact info to download the paper.

As always, this paper is a work-in-progress, so please feel free to share
your thoughts!

Brian
