The SSL based VPN's have too many dependencies on browser configurations and
java, making them a support nightmare. Some of the help desk calls we would
get required us to have users uninstall their personal firewall software,
pop-up blockers, install microsoft jvm, clear temp internet files, change IE
security settings, no local admin rights, etc, etc. We went with Neoteris at
first because of the fact that they claim to need no client software and can
be setup within an hour. Don't buy into it. There is client software if you
want to use it with nfuse or citrix program neighborhood, it's a java
program that proxies the traffic.

Netilla will be easier to set up, but if your looking for a solution with
the least amount of client setup and support, go with CSG for sure.

I couldn't say enough bad things about Neoteris (which is now owned by
Juniper networks)

Also CSG with Web interface is free.

Hope this helps
Chris

Steve,

Thank you for the feedback. What, in your opinion makes CSG a better
option? It seems that the complexity of the setup and the licensing costs
of Secure Access Manager make CSG a hard sell compared to the seemingly
simplistic setup and management of the Netilla solution.

I'm just confused about what will be the best solution now and in the future
(with future releases of Presentation Server).

One thing I really need is a solution that will require the least amount of
client setup and support.

Regards,
Rob

Netilla is a great standalone platform if you are using Terminal Server,
internal Web apps or needs an SSL VPN. However, if you already have Citrix,
Citrix Secure Gateway is a better match.

Greetings,

I'm writing to see if anyone has experience with the Netilla SSL VPN
appliance in accessing Citrix publications from the internet. Please let me
know what your opinions are on this product. Any information will be
greatly appreciated.
