HI, Have a look at TAME (www.tamedos.com). Works well with DOS apps. For 16 bit windows, running the app at a low priority, using startlow.exe (www.tricerat.com) works reasonably well. CPU still maxes out, but the apps can only steal idle cycles so system impact is minimised. Other possibilities are using cmptman to reduce resources available to NTVDM or if it's foxpro a program patch etc. Regards, Rick Ulrich Mack rmack@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx Volante Systems 18 Heussler Terrace, Milton 4064 Queensland Australia tel +61 7 32467704 -----Original Message----- From: Erik van der Velde [mailto:evdvelde@xxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Tuesday, 5 November 2002 12:13 AM To: Thin (E-mail) Subject: [THIN] NTVDM.EXE uses 50% cpu for each user I have a 16 bits application running on a citrix server. (W2K SP3, Metaframe XP, FR2) When a user start this application the cpu usage shows that the file NTVDM.EXE wil use 50% of the cpu. With two users this is 100%, and the server is very slow. In the feature more users will use this program. Someone knows how I can resolve this problem?
