Do you have a WINS server at both sites and is replication working properly?
Is the new BDC properly registering with the WINS server?

I have 2 BDCs at a remote site...the old one and a new one. I want to bring
the old one down and have the new one take over, but now when i bring the
old bdc down logining into servers hangs at a black screen. The new bdc
won't do the authentication. anyone have an idea on how i can do this?
