Personally I want to get Access Gateways to replace this aging
technology but I can't bring myself to do it because the SG's never
cause us any trouble. We do load balance them to distribute load but
that is about it.

We also do this Jon for call centers and for web facing users using the
same farm. No issues at all.

Jon, we do this today. Multiple data centers each with their own  
Internet uplinks and we put a csg presence at each. Works fine for us.
