Hi Adam,

I'll probably get flamed for this, but considering FR3 on win2k and Server
2003, it seems to me that the 2003 version is just a bit better. Almost
seems like the 2003 had all the work done on it and the win2k version almost
caught up.

My recommendation to customers is that 2003/FR3 is pretty good, win2K/FR3
not quite as good.

The migration to win2k/FR3 right now should be for a good reason.

If you have to have the improved UPD, much slicker IMA communications, and
are willing to roll out the version 7 ICA client to get benefit from the
greatly improved IE performance, upgrading is the way to go. Otherwise, I'd
suggest you fulfill subscription advantage to FR3 to get your FR3 licenses,
and wait a few more weeks to minimise your pain.

Regards,

Rick

Here's another question along a similar line....

Given all that everyone has learned about FR3 (feautres, problems, etc), is
there any reason not to migrate FR3? adam

We are running on XP FR1 and decided it's about time we upgraded. Is there
any official (or unofficial) documentation on migrating to FR3 within a farm
i.e. Best Practise etc?

Thanks All
