the biggest advantage i can see is that when you add a server to the Published Desktop, you don't have to go and add it to each and every application individually. Like Office, adobe, IE etc. We publish a desktop here and let the agent drop in the applications. When I add a server I have to go and add it to each standard app and it's a pain (i know I can script it but i'm lazy). this would let me avoid that for the basics and I can still make the oddball apps i have in silos a regular published app. it also may help some issues we have seen with smart cards, session sharing, and disconnected sessions. off to test......
