Thanks guys, Ive used a local service account not a domain one and assigned the permissions as required on the local security policy. Just updated the domain policy to reflect the same. so Ill find out in a couple of days if this fixes the problem. It beats me if this is the cause of the problem, why Citrix didnt see this,as we went through the security settings with Citrix and they actually were involved with the setup of this. Anyway will find out in a couple of days. Thanks, Tony. -----Original Message----- From: Mack, Rick [mailto:RMack@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Sat 27/09/2003 2:41 p.m. To: 'thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx' Cc: Subject: [THIN] Re: MSAM stability issues and Citrix support DECODED Hi Tony, We must have had a bit more luck with Citrix. One of our engineers was having problems with MSAM and got a hotfix from Citrix that pretty well sorted things out. However Neil is quite correct in pointing out that the start service account is critical. There's a slight difference between the local "net service" account and the domain "netservice" account. This is the case for conferencing manager too. I have a site where I have built a new server with MSAM and Win2k SP3. Every few days the resource aggregattion service crashes and the only way to get it going again is to reset the service passwords on the services config tool and restart the services. A simple restart of the services doesnt work. Citrix have escellated the issue up to their development team in the states but 2 months after escellating it to them they still have made no furthe progress on it. This kind of service sucks!!! Not to mention that I have an unhappy customer. does any one out there have MSAM working in a production environment that I can compare notes with.
