Which versions of the viewers did you install?

I can tell you what reg keys you would need to restore/replace in order to
reset the file associations (at least for Word and Excel) if you need that
info.

I tried installing the viewers, after full Office 2003, and had no luck with
file associations.

The new 2003 viewers for Word/Excel/Visio/PowerPoint install very nicely,
even with the full products loaded (they create separate keys for themselves
under HKCR). What you have to watch out for are the 97 viewers.

I have a policy file for switching users back and forth between viewers and
full versions if you're interested.
