If an .MSI is unavailable, put all of installation files in a folder on the
package share first, create a .cmd file in
the same folder that runs the unattended install, and then use the Citrix
Packager to create a new package but instead
of creating a recording, add an unattended install instead that runs the
script. Configure the unattended install option
to run the .cmd file from its current location instead of copying the files
to the server before executing them.

Here's an example .cmd file for the java install:

%~dp0msjavx86.exe /q /r:n
%~dp0msjavwu.exe /c:"javatrig.exe /exe_install /I /qq" /q:a /r:n

Assuming all files (including the .cmd file) are in the same folder, the
%~dp0 syntax tells the system to find the
msjavax86.exe in the same folder that contains the .cmd file. This syntax
works for both UNC paths and mapped drives.

Malcom,

I was looking for a msi package so I can use it IM.
Why I need Java VM? See my message "Java Virtual Machine on W2K3 Server"

Tnx for the feedback.

Kind regards,

Chris
