Sounds almost identical to my situation. New Dell servers arrived in December/January, but my emphasis has remained on maintaining existing in order to make certain I get the W2k3 right (rather than migrate and them go back for a rebuild). Issues encountered thus far include: - W2k3 SP1 could not connect to "https:" WI sites so had to REBUILD all W2k3 terminal servers without SP1 (very painful) - Have enjoyed some advancement in CPS4 over MPS3; however, we continue to note the release of new software impacting the transition to production (e.g.: Microsoft & Citrix patch releases & testing, Neoware client firmware upgrades, and new printer & driver) - No real association between W2k3 & NT4 (except for Trust relationship) presents challenge in incremental migration of users (e.g.: DFS share permissions). I got new servers, new versions of applications, new version of the OS (w2k3 vs w2k). What should have taken a few months is up to 10 months. A huge chunk of the slowdown is that this new setup is not a high priority for us, as compared to maintaining the 911 system, PD/Fire dispatch, etc. Well, we are almost done. The new platform is W2K3 (no SP1) and MPS3 with the 2005.4 service pack. My question is: should we bite the bullet and click the check box to turn my MPS3 farm into an MPS4 farm? We use TScale and Simplified Printing so I don't expect to use those feature of MPS4. As for licensing, I have SA so we are covered there too. adam ******************************************************** This Weeks Sponsor: Cesura, Inc.
