[THIN] MF1.8 farm split across multiple subnets

This is new stuff for me. I'm in the process of extending my (small) MF1.8
FR1 SP2 on NT4TSE farm to another local subnet. I've setup ICA Gateways
between a couple of machines on each subnet but each "side" of the farm
seems oblivious to the other. I've checked with the networking chaps that
UDP is routed to each subnet and now hit the limit of my multi-subnet
knowledge.
Can anyone suggest other things to look at?
