Agreed.

 

It says right on the product support page that if a technician
determines it is caused by a Hotfix or related issue, then it is of no
charge. I have also called numerous times for private hotfixes and never
once had to pay for it.

 

Make sure the area code you're dialing for this support doesn't reside
in Nigeria. Was the support lady's name Miriam Abacha, by chance? ;-)

That is simply not true... Microsoft will not charge to tell they
reconize the problem and it's a defect.  In fact the opposite is true.
If they reconize that the problem is a defect/bug with the product, they
will NOT charge you for the incident.
