[THIN] Re: MF Server login

If it hangs at "preparing to connect", I have seen where the client COM ports
will cause the client to hang. Modify the
local appsrv.ini in the user' profile and set COMAllowed=Off or modify the
template.ica file with the same setting. This
seems to be a problem on HP laptops.

Subject: [THIN] MF Server login

I just inherited a MF Server (version 3.0 Build 2085) that I'm having an issue
with for one computer (well two now).

When this user logs into the web interface on the MF server, he is prompted for
credentials and it processes them. Once
he selects the farm, it shows the published apps and desktop. However, when
selecting any of the available options, the
process hangs with the "preparing to connect" dialog box showing.

I found a link on Citrix's web site
(http://support.citrix.com/forums/thread.jspa?messageID=258165
<http://support.citrix.com/forums/thread.jspa?messageID=258165&fromSearchPage=true&#258165>
&fromSearchPage=true&#258165) that stated to delete this key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\MSLicensing\Store\LICENSE00x

I've done so, but still am having issues. I've looked at the other suggestions
on Citrix's site and nothing appears to
work. When this same user logs in using another system, it has not issue.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!
Rick
