Yes, this is how we setup Lotus Notes in our large environment. I think we
put Notes.ini
and the other files which I can not remember their names in the user's Home
Drive.
Worked reasonably well. I think the big gotcha was you if you tried to open
multiple sessions
and use Notes.

I've seen several different clients (including a 10,000 seat site) use local
C: (or C: on MF Server) for the application and the client home drive for
data. This can be done when installing the client by pointing the DATA
location to the home drive.
