WINVNC does not give you root access. Sometimes you just need to hit the actual keyboard attached to the PS/2 port on the machine. I think a KVM over IP would be useful for console access without having to go across campus. We will need to have at least 2 administrators access the servers at the same time. What brands/models do you recommend and why. I have looked at the specs for the Dominion KX216 switch. Any comments would be helpful.
