But it was a stinker. I've been using online practice exams and study
guides and feeling pretty confident, then picked up the Global
Knowledge/Syngress/Osborne "Citrix Metaframe XP for Windows
Administrator
Study Guide (Exam 220) Second Edition", and started taking the practice
tests at the end of each chapter. I was getting pretty poor scores, as
low
as 10/20 for some chapters, and I was thinking "what's wrong with me, I
thought I knew this stuff?". That was just two days ago, and I was
already
tired, so I didn't get much study time in over the weekend. I went into
the
exam feeling pretty depressed, pretty much resigned to having to come
back
after doing more serious study.
The questions were pretty varied, from the level of "well, duh" right up
to
"oh, crap". Probably half of the questions I don't remember reading
ANYTHING about in any of the study material I used, I just had to sit
there
and try to deduce which ones were the least right.
So I got an 85, and now I'm a CCA. Hooray, my first ever certification
or
qualification of any kind since high school, and I'm almost 30 years
old.
I'm thinking about some Microsoft exams, but damn, if the MCSE exams are
going to be as un-related to the actual study information available, I'm
not
liking the prospects.
Anyway, hope all of you had a beaut weekend. I've had a GREAT start to
my
week!
